2020 Worrall Festival cancelled

It is with a heavy heart that we have decided to cancel this year’s Worrall Festival and Gala. It was perhaps inevitable with everything going on at the minute but it still didn’t make the decision any easier.

We’ll be back bigger and better in 2021. We’ll keep you posted on here about any other activities throughout the year.

Thanks for your support and understanding.

Stay safe

Coronavirus [Covid-19] Statement
Update: 21 March 2020

In light of the government’s announcement on 20 March 2020 that all bars, cafes, restaurants and other leisure businesses must close, the Memorial Hall will be closed for events from today.

We will contact those with bookings to discuss their options including rescheduling their event or receiving a full refund.

We would continue to encourage everyone to follow the government’s advice in respect of hygiene, self isolation and social distancing to try and limit the spread of the virus and reduce pressure on the NHS.

If you have an existing booking which you would like to discuss, please contact us directly at bookings@worrallcomminityassociation.co.uk and we will do our best to assist you.

Currently, the Worrall Gala and Festival planned for 4 July 2020 is still scheduled to go ahead. Please stay in touch on our Facebook page where we will post updates.

We will continue to monitor the government advice and we will be back up and running as soon as we can.

In the meantime, we hope everyone in our local community and further afield remains safe and well during this difficult period.

Headliner Announcement

We’re very excited to announce that the James Taplin Band will be headlining the festival this year.

Having made a name for himself in South Yorkshire’s bars and clubs as one of the regions most beloved singer-songwriters, James Taplin, ‘The Voice’ of bluesy-roots and acoustic rock & soul, is paving the way for a promising future ahead. James will be joined by his band which includes the equally talented Michael Holmes on Harmonica. These guys are not to be missed!
